The Facebook Pixel is a key tool you should be utilizing right away - it will absolutely help you get the most out of your social ad budget and help to bring customers who already love your store back to your store to shop! This small tool can help improve your marketing efforts in major ways! Here’s everything you need to know about how it works.
The Facebook pixel is a small piece of code that you place on your website. It collects data that helps you track conversions from Facebook ads, optimize ads, build targeted audiences for future ads, and re-market to people who have already taken some kind of action on your website. It works by placing and triggering cookies to track users as they interact with your website and your Facebook ads - cool right?

It will take about 1 hour to set up your Facebook Pixel - but to be safe, block a few hours in order to properly set everything up, learn more about how it works, and integrate your Pixel into your online store.
The only expense for this tutorial is when or if you decide to start using Facebook for paid ads.
Before you get started creating your Facebook Pixel, your very first step is to set up a Facebook ads account or Facebook business manager. From there, you’ll need to set up the Pixel in Facebook. To create an account, go to Facebook Ads Manager.
Step 1 - In your Facebook Business Manager, Go to your Pixels tab in Events Manager.
Step 2 - Click Create a Pixel.
Step 3 - Click Create in the box that appears to finish creating your pixel.
Step 1 - In Facebook, copy your Pixel code.
Step 2 - In Shopify, go to Online Store.
Step 3 - Select Preferences.
Step 4 - Paste your Pixel ID.
Step 5 - Click Save.
Once you have completed Step 2 and your Facebook Pixel is integrated into your Shopify store, the pixel tracks certain events automatically. You can also use event data to learn more about how customers interact with your store.
